Harold Baker

In Loving Memory

Baker, Harold “Junior”

July 2, 1947 - September 4, 2024

Harold (Junior) Baker, 77, passed away peacefully at his home on September 4, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Baker; mother, Juanita Lombard; and brother, Robert Lombard, Jr.

Harold is survived by his four children, Kathy (Chris) Taylor, Bobby Baker, Jimmy Baker, Sheri Whitmire; siblings, Randy (Tina) Lombard, Kim (Donald) Behrman, Cindy (John) Stolzer, sister-in-law Lisa Lombard; three grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kyle, and Coby Taylor as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Harold attended Lesterville High School where he played basketball and was proud to be a Bearcat. He was one of a kind and always had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He loved to entertain with his impersonations, singing, dancing, playing the drums, and telling jokes. He coached many of his children’s sports teams and was always ready to give a word of advice or offer to help in any way he could. He spent most of his working years at Mallinckrodt and Feed My People. He did his best to provide for his family, often working double shifts. He was loved and will be missed by many friends and family. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love we continue to feel.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, from 4-8pm at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., 63123. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 14 at 10:00am also at Kutis in Affton. He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123.

  1. My condolences to Harold’s family. Although I only knew him through Facebook, we had been ‘friends’ since 2016, or even before that. Harold was truly one of a kind. He would often send me cat videos and jokes, always trying to make me laugh. I had just messaged him a few days before I heard the news of his passing, and I was shocked. He had shared with me some health issues and concerns, but he always seemed so full of life and was such a caring man. He will be missed.
