In Loving Memory

Banderet, Linda Marie

April 16, 1964 - February 28, 2024

Linda Marie Banderet, 59, passed away on February 28, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, June Banderet (née Hampel). She is survived by her daughters, Katy and Terri Banderet; her father, Jack Banderet; her sister, Michele (Chris) Lembeck; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and friends.

Linda was born on April 16, 1964 in St. Louis, MO and was immediately adopted by her parents. She often remembered the love and care of her family. She graduated from Assumption Catholic School in 1978 and Mehlville Senior High School in 1982. Linda had a long career in healthcare, working in pharmacy and insurance, as well as teaching at Harris-Stowe State University.

Linda cherished spending time with her family, friends, and dear pets. She loved reading and was quite fond of the movie Mamma Mia!, having seen it in theaters 27 times. She was a true St. Louis sports fan, forever cheering on the Cardinals and Missouri Tigers. Linda had recently converted to the Mormon faith and will be deeply missed by her community.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1 PM – 4 PM at Kutis Affton (10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, MO 63123) followed by a private Celebration of Life for family. In lieu of flowers and cards, please consider a donation to Open Door Animal Sanctuary in her memory (odas.org, 6065 Duda Rd. House Springs, MO 63051).

  2. Having lived across the street from the Banderets growing up, I was the babysitter for both Linda and Michelle! I have very fond memories of those little girls, Sending prayers to Linda’s family. Happy that her suffering has ended. May she rest in peace.

  3. I just found out that Linda is no longer with us and my deepest condolences go out to her family, Linda was an awesome employee and I had just been in contact with her via messenger a few days before she passed, Linda was a quirky fun person that loved her job and her family she is the most positive person I’ve ever meet, I will truly miss our talks about the Blues and letting her come back to work when she wasn’t ready to nor would I let her. RIP my dear friend ❤️
