February 10, 1932 - January 23, 2025

Loving mother of Michael Bartin, Kim Nations, Timothy (Anne) Bartin, Christopher (Robin) Bartin, Karen (William) Cowie and the late Patrick Bartin; dear grandmother of Jamie, Brooke, Alexander, Max, Travis, Virginia, Patrick, Dominic, Deon, Demetrius, Nathaniel, McKenna and Erin; dear great grandmother of Bryson, Gemma, Archer, Eleanor and Emery; loving companion  of the late David Kaplan.

Her parents were Agatha and Clarence Luft. Mom grew up at 815 Brownell in Glendale and she attended Mary Queen of Peace and later won a scholarship to Nerinx High School and graduated in 1950. She married Thomas G Bartin July 28th, 1953 at Mary Queen of Peace in Glendale. (They met at Teen Town) Tom was in the Air Force when they got married.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel 10151 Gravois, Saturday January 25, 9:00 AM. Interment St. Paul Churchyard. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society in memory of Patrick Bartin appreciated. Visitation Friday 4:00-7:00 PM

  2. Celeste and her family were always the highlight of my visits to St Louis to visit she and my dad, David Kaplan. We loved her dearly and I will miss her kind and thoughtful manner. Wishing her immediate family peace at such a sad time.

  5. So very sorry for your loss . Your mother was always very kind and friendly to me and other kids in the neighborhood . I will always remember her warm and cheerful smile . May she rest in God’s loving arms .

  6. We are so sorry for your loss. Although we did not your mother, we experience her love and joy through her son, Tim. Her light shines every day through him. She must have really person a great person to know and we are sorry to have missed spending time with her.

  7. I have known the Bartins for almost 60 years. Great family and I am so sorry for your loss.
    I remember Celeste introducing me to her friend as a man who owns a “Marital Arts” School!
