Beloved husband of Judi for 42 years; father of Linda Harris Pettit, William Thomas Beheler and Sue Ellen Beheler; 3 grandchildren, all of Texas, Stephen Dudley, Meghen Dudley and Emma Long.

Herschell was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed especially deer and duck hunting from his childhood days in Texas until very recent years when cancer treatments stood in his way. He was a competitive and enthusiastic golfer from his school days in Galveston through last season at Tapawingo. VO Manhattans topped his nightly cocktail list.

  1. I served with Weldon in the scout platoon second medium tank batt. Eighth infantry division in Baumholder Germany in 1958-59. We were good friends and I often come across photos of us. Sorry to hear about his passing and condolences to his family.
