Bequette

In Loving Memory

Bequette, Michael

December 11, 1965 - August 30, 2025

Michael Bequette passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 30, 2025, in the comfort of his own bed.

Beloved husband of Rina Bequette (Hettenhausen) for 38 wonderful years. Devoted father to Michael Bequette (Jessica), Rachel Bequette, and Mason Bequette; and a proud grandfather to Eleanor Bequette. Cherished son of Michael Bequette Sr. and Karen Bequette (Tustanowsky). Loving big brother to Sean, Dustin, Anthony, Shannon, and Kayla. Mike was a loyal friend to many, and truly a stranger to none.

For over 30 years, Mike worked proudly alongside his second family at Footwear Unlimited. He was deeply devoted to his family, his friends, his faith, and his spiritual community at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He held a special place in his heart for his ACTS brothers, who welcomed him with open arms.

Mike will be remembered for his infectious, boisterous laugh, his warm heart, and his unwavering love and acceptance of everyone he met.

We’ll never forget you, Mike—no matter what you think.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Thursday, September 4 from 4-8 pm. with Funeral Service on Friday, September 5 at 10:00 am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church to support their ministry.

  3. Mike was the best of us! He was a humble man with a huge heart for God, his family and his friends. He is one of the people that I truly regrets not keeping in better contact with over the last few years. He always made me smile, laugh and just feel better about life. We loved to talk hockey and watched too few games together.

His love for Rina, Michael, Rachel and Mason was so beautiful to witness. He gave the best forgiveness talk on an ACTS ree we treat that I ever heard, and this morning the only thing that made me smile through my tears after hearing the news was the sight of Mike and Rachel running into each others arms and embracing in Heaven. O Lord, Grant eternal rest him and may perpetual light shine upon him, may his soul through the Divine Mercy of God rest in Peace! All my prayers and love to Rina, Michael, Mason and all family and friends.

  6. You’ll be very missed uncle Mikie, I will always remember how you took me to the father daughter events for girl scouts. You didn’t have to do that but nonetheless, you did it anyways with no complaints.

I worked with him for so many years and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you. He was always a favorite. Now with his beloved Rachel. I hope Rina can find piece in how special Mike was to everyone at Footwear Unlimited.
