Born July 31, 1943, in Egypt, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2024, in St. Louis, MO as she was surrounded by family. She was the cherished daughter of the late Otto and Vivian (Watkins) Henson, and sister to Margie (Henson) Patton, who preceded her in death. She was married to Ralph Bond for 50 wonderful years, creating a legacy of faith and family that will last forever.
Sharon, affectionately known as Maw Maw, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished conversations and time spent with cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Her family meant the world to her, and she treasured every moment with them.
Her kindness and loving nature inspired many, and she dedicated much of her time to helping others, particularly through her involvement with the Lemay Church of Christ. Her faith in God was a guiding force in her life, and she hoped to instill the same love for God in her family.
In addition to her love for God and family, Sharon had a passion for crafts and traveling. She found great joy in creating beautiful handmade pieces, mastering new skills, and exploring new places. Sharon was the valedictorian of her high school class, a math teacher, and she enjoyed a four-decade career as a programmer.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph, two sons, Mark (spouse Audrey) and Justin (spouse Michelle), and four grandchildren: Tommy (17), Morgan (15), Caroline (11), and Joey (8). She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at the Lemay Church of Christ in St. Louis, MO on September 23, 2024, at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 am. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Sharon’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fair Haven Children’s home in Strafford, MO
Aunt Sharon or “Sissie” as my mom called her ❤️, was such a joy to be around and know. She was so giving and such a wonderful Aunt. We will miss her so much! She always had a story to tell us about her boys, Mark and Justin, or her grandkids, Morgan, Caroline, Tommy, and Joey. And of course, Her precious husband, we call Uncle Lynn, was her lifelong partner and she definitely always had something to tell about him. My sisters and I definitely miss her but we are proud to know she is with our Heavenly Father and we will see her again one day. Love you Aunt Sharon.

So sorry for the loss of your wife. I graduated with her at Egypt High School. Will keep your family in my prayers.
Sharon was such a kind lady! I recall her and Ralph usually sitting in one of the back few pews of the church each Sunday morning. Though I hadn’t got to see her in a number of years, I’ll always have fond memories of her from our interactions at church and church events. Blessings over Ralph and the rest of the family during this time of grieving.
So sorry to hear of your passing cuz sissy. On to a better place. Jerry Henson

I am very sorry for your loss, too. I know you have a big hole in your heart. I have a beautiful handmade pendant of pink Brazilian agate crafted by her. I think of her every time I wear it. She gave it to me when I was teaching her sons on Sunday School. It is a treasure. You are in my prayers!
I worked with Sharon at the Federal Government. She was always pleasant, sweet, and a professional. She loved her family. When Tommy made her a first time grandmother, she was overjoyed – she shared many stories with me. As often happens, we lost touch. I am glad she had more grandchildren to love. My condolences to Ralph and all the family.
Ralph, I am so sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was such a nice lady. My heart and thoughts go out to you and your family.
Condolences to the Bond’s family. May God give you comfort in the passing of Sharon. Sweet rest!
