In Loving Memory

Burbes, Ronald L.

May 13, 1947 - February 3, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Burbes, beloved husband of 56 years to his wife, Linda. He deeply loved his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. After retirement, gambling became his passion. Las Vegas was his favorite place to visit. He loved taking trips with his family. He served in the US Army from 1966-1968. He was a Teamster Local 600 for 31 years. He retired from Yellow Freight in 1999. He is the son of the late Clarence “Bud” & Helen (Lingemann) Burbes. Stepson of the late Antonio Razo. Brother of the late Eugene Burbes. He is survived by his wife Linda Burbes, daughter Stacy Burbes, grandson Spencer Harpole. He will be remembered as a kind and witty guy, who loved margaritas, making his family laugh, and waiting for the Aliens to Beam him Up. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

SERVICES:  Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry Road St. Louis, Missouri 63129) on Saturday, February 7, 10:30 a.m.  Interment Sunset Memorial Park (Affton, Missouri).  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.  Visitation Friday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

  7. Linda,
Ron was one of my all-time favorites! I saw him every 3 months for 20+ years. He was always kidding around and just a good time, and that’s saying something when someone can be so congenial while getting their teeth cleaned. Though I’ll admit he didn’t enjoy the cleaning part, he was always thankful.
And although the circumstances weren’t the best I did enjoy getting to meet and visit with you at the last few visits.

    With sympathy,
    His Hygienist, Jackie
