passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Loving husband of Kelli Christian (nee Cantrell) of 32 years; beloved father of Nicole Cantrell, Megan (Matthew) Miller, Drew and Dominick Cantrell; dearest paw paw of Carter and Kennadee Cantrell; dear son of the late Claude and Marie Christian (nee Jolly); brother of Fred (Jeanette), Michael (Brenda), Janet and Roger (Brooke Ward) Christian; son-in-law of David Cantrell and the late Toni (Donald) Cantrell; brother-in-law of Brian Gilbert, David Jr (Nichole) Cantrell, Jacob Cantrell, Denise (David) Smith, Brandy LaMora and Dawn Crosby; our dear bonus dad, uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Visitation Friday, February 7, 11:00 a.m. until Service 1:00 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd.  Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Luke’s Hospital Center for Cancer Care, Attn: Office of Development, 232 South Woods Mill Road, PO BOX 9501, Chesterfield, MO 63006-9982.

  1. If you didn’t know my dad personally, I’d love to share some of my favorite things about him. His name was Gary, but he was also called dad, PawPaw, and GC. He had the loudest laugh you ever heard. He was an avid hunter and vintage car lover (was restoring an El Camino and previously was working on a 1932 Chevy Coupe). Loved Memphis, a cold Bud Light, and a live blues band. My dad was above all else, a loving father to many. He believed all children deserved a loving dad. I’m so lucky to witness his devotion to the eight children my mom and him helped raise. I believe that God placed him on earth for this very purpose.

    I can’t wait to see you in every sunrise, every hunting camp, every vintage car show, and above all else, see you in all of your children. Until we meet again in heaven. I couldn’t be more proud to be your daughter.
