Jane Louise Condon, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday.
Jane was born on December 13, 1926 to Leo and Louise (Moon). Her beloved siblings Mary Mueller, Bob Condon, and Betty Horn preceded her in death. Jane’s memory will be cherished by her brother Tom and sister-in-law Rosalie Condon (Grose); her nieces Michele Christian, Colleen Darnell, Suzie Michael, Kathleen Davis, Peggy Flanagan, and their spouses; many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews; and other relatives and friends.
Jane studied at Harris Teachers College and Northwestern University. She was a passionate educator and spent her professional career teaching in St. Louis Public Schools.
Jane was a world traveler and a lover of classic films. A first-class storyteller, she could entrance little ones with fairytales and entertain adults with reminiscences of her adventures on the road and overseas. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a memorable laugh, and a special love and understanding of children. She was a generous and devoted aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews. A woman of faith, she was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish in St. Louis Hills.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Raphael Archangel April 23 at 11:00 A.M.
I was saddened to learn of Jane’s passing. I’m sure she will be missed and was comforted by the loving support of her family and friends. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I was a student of Miss Condon. If she taught at Froebel School back in the 60’s, I was in her 5th grade class. She was such a great teacher and very kind. I am sorry to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.

I was notified of Ms. Condom’s passing by another elementary school friend. I never had her for a teacher but she had a presence at Froebel School that was felt by all. She would tower over all of us as she stood guard in the hallway and her laughter could be heard through closed classroom doors. Many years later I connected with Tom,through GCIU, and the first thing I asked him if he was related to Jane. She was one lady who left you with an everlasting memory, wished I would have known her in my adult years. I am sure she lived her long life with gusto and her family will always cherish the memories of her. I know Ms. Condon is still looking down on us.

To my dear Aunt Jane. I’m so sad to learn of your passing. We had so many wonderful times together and so many memories. You opened up so many worlds for me through the stories you told me and the places you took me. Our lose is God’s gain. May you dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. I love you very much ❤️
