Federhofer

In Loving Memory

Federhofer, Judith Ann

September 22, 1941 - March 19, 2025

Judith Ann Federhofer (nee Schmitz) was born in St. Louis to John and Julianna “Julia” (nee Krzyzanowski) Schmitz on September 22nd,1941 and entered into rest on March 19th, 2025. Judy grew up in South St. Louis and married her high school sweetheart. Beloved wife and friend for nearly (65) years she is survived by her husband John Federhofer III. Together they raised (4) sons. Having grieved together the loss of their second son Scott just (3) years ago she is survived by sons John IV, Matthew, and Christopher. She was a dear grandmother to John’s children Jordan, Alexandra, Madison, and Abigail, to Scott’s son Derek, daughter Jamie, and blended by marriage to Jacob and Katy, as well as Matt’s children Justin and Rachel. Not to be lost in the lists are her (3) daughters-in-law whom she adored: Lindsey (John), Melissa (Scott), and Carolyn (Matt). Within the last few years she reached great grandma status with the additions of Mia and Wesley (Rachel) and Vaughn (Abigail). Chris only has dogs but he’s pretty sure she loved them, too. A homemaker for the majority of her sons’ formative years she found a niche as a teller at a local bank where she won the respect of her coworkers and the friendship of so many of her customers. Most would wait in a longer line just for a chance to chat with her and catch up about life. She knew nearly all of them by name. Judy had a passion for camping and hiking. She had a deep love of animals and their spirits especially that of the dog, the wolf, and horses. She had a deep respect and admiration for the American Indians and the lives they lived.

    • Hi Bobo. My wife just told me about this post. Thank you so much for your thoughts. Memories of the Paszkiewicz family have been a friend to the Federhofer family for a long time. We still talk about you folks.
