Cynthia (Cindy) Feldhaus, age 66, passed away on February 12, 2026, following a brief battle with Stage 4 cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Feldhaus, and brother, Richard F. Feldhaus. Cindy is survived by her mother, Helen Feldhaus (Nischbach); her sister, Krissie (John) Neal; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Feldhaus; her nieces and nephews, Will Neal, Danny Neal, Renee (Sal) Tornatore, Richie Feldhaus (Breanna Redding), Amanda (Nick) Scarfino; great-niece, Margot Scarfino; and special nephews, Michael Jokerst and Patrick (Emily) Jokerst. Cindy had many cherished friends who were like family.
Cindy grew up in North St. Louis County, Missouri. She earned her master’s degree in social work from St. Louis University and was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She spent much of her professional career helping troubled youth at Lakeside Center in St. Louis County. Upon her retirement, she took a position as a part-time case worker at H.E.R.O.E.S Cares, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting U.S. military veterans and their families. Cindy was a proud supporter of the U.S. military and all first responders.
Cindy was devoted to family and cherished by her many friends. She had a strong fondness for nostalgia, loved live music, and appreciated “cool” art and jewelry. Cindy enjoyed traveling with friends, often taking several trips a year. Cindy was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, created many lasting memories with them over the years, and was their biggest cheerleader. She was a problem-solver, a caregiver by nature, fiercely independent, and did things on her own terms. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life open house will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Hearth Room at the Hawken House, 1155 South Rock Hill Road, Webster Groves, Missouri 63119.
