Was shocked to hear of Ed’s passing. Ed was just a marvelous human being. I will and always cherish those times. My condolences to his family.

I was fortunate to share pleasant times with Ed and Carol through the St Louis Ski Club. What a kind gentleman with a ready smile and pleasant nature. My heartfelt condolences to Carol and all of Ed’s family. He was an all around great guy, and here’s hoping he has nothing but soft powder in the clouds of Heaven.
Dear Geodde Family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of Ed’s death and pray God will help your love ones through this difficult time. Ed was a super friendly guy who I first met at Kiel Auditorium serving with him as an usher at events. We continued our friendship throughout our college days at UMSL where he was my daily carpool driver. I remember going to WU to take the USAF ROTC exam with him and am proud of his outstanding military service for the USA. He is truly a perfect example of an unselfish human being willing to come to anyone’s aid and support. Also, Ed enjoyed playing various sports and we attended various social events together sharing his humor and laughter. It is hard to think Ed is no longer here but definitely is in Heaven resting in peace. May God bless Ed and your family.
One of many good hardworking men I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know at DCMA. His smile and laughter was infectious. My condolences to his family.
In Ed’s graduating class at Prep, would run into him occasionally when we both worked downtown. One day I told him our family was going to the air show, and he said he would be doing a flyover later in an F-4. I asked him how low they would fly in training, and said, “Well, if the pilot sneezed – well, not a good outcome”. Very much enjoyed time I spent with Ed as he always seemed positive about life and happy. Will miss not seeing him at future reunions. Alois Hoog
So sorry to hear about this tragedy. I’ve known Ed for about 20 years from our first ski trip together with the club in 2003 at Sun Valley, Idaho to our last at Steamboat in 2022. Ed was an accomplished skier and I will miss his endless smile and kindly advice. One of the most easy-going, helpful folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. My condolences to his family. RIP my friend.
I am so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I have many amazing memories of skiing and playing games with Ed and Carol. Such a smart and kind Man who will be forever missed.

I worked with Ed at DCMA. He was such a nice guy. We would talk about anything and everything. I know he loved taking trips, especially the ski ones. You will be missed! Prayers to all.
To the Goedde family,
I am very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I worked with him at DCMA and he was my boss for some time. He was a terrific person who enjoyed life and loved his country and family very much. He always, no matter what the job, worked hard with a strong desire to do the job the right way.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I knew Ed for over 35 years. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. . I am very saddened that he is no longer with us. Heaven is brighter today as God welcomed him with open arms.
Our most sincere sympathies to the Goedde Family and to Carol on the passing of our dear neighbor, Ed. We were all the better for his presence in our lives and shall miss his gentle kindness and endearing friendship. Recent surgery prohibits us from actually visiting with you all today to tell you so in person. But as we think of him often and remember him in prayer; we’ll be holding each of you in our hearts as well. Peace
Ed always had a great smile and one of the decent guys. I knew Ed through out our 4 years at Prep and every year at our reunions, it felt like it it was just the other day we saw each other. Fair winds and following seas my friend.
I hardly got a chance to know Ed. But the few times that I was with him, I found him to be such a nice fellow with a warm and gentile personality. I will truly miss his kind presence. Ed, may you rest in peace in a soft powder of freshly groomed snow in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
Sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. He was a true gentleman and a great boss. RIP Ed
Thinking of your family at this difficult time. Remembering good times and carpooling to work with Ed. RIP Ed.
