April 27, 1946 - December 23, 2024

Beloved husband of Rhonda Kay Grau (nee Kleindienst); dear father of Danette (Bill) Kohrs, Robyn (Greg) Kahwaji, Angela (Aaron) Hoefer, David James Grau II and the late Rebecca Grau; dear grandfather of Lexi (Charlie) Powell, Alyssa Kohrs, Kale Kahwaji, August Kohrs, Alexander Kohrs, Addison Hoefer and Archer Hoefer; dear great-grandfather of Evelyn Powell and Rosemary Powell; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Private services were held at Sunset Memorial Park.  Memorial visitation will be held on January 11, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church (5911 Missouri Highway 94 Weldon Springs, Missouri 63304) 11:45 a.m. until memorial service at 1:00 p.m.

  2. It was such an honor to meet Brother Dave and his amazing family. I was touched by Dave’s faith and strength that clearly came from his Lord and kept Dave being a blessing to all of us even when things were difficult. Loved meeting his wife, his multi-generational family and his AMEN group. Everybody who loves Dave is dearly in my prayers. – Sam San the hand-flute man.

  5. I met Dave when I worked for him at the sub shop he owned at the time. He was easy going to work with. He never knew a stranger. I was blessed to have known him. Prayers of comfort for the family. He is no longer suffering and now watching over his family.
