  1. Tim worked for me for many years at Lyon, and was not only a great employee, but more importantly, simply a genuinely nice person. I am sure he will be missed, not only his family, but the many friends and customers, with whom he came in contact through out his life.

  3. I knew Tim since he was in high school working at the Newark grocery store. And later I worked with him at Lyon for many years. He had a wonderful Christian witness and was a great guy to work with. Since he was a salesman in Missouri, he was the first person to tell me about Walmart stores before they were even in Illinois.

  7. Tim was always a very special mentor and boss, but most importantly just a great person overall. I was, for many years, lucky enough to have him as a good friend and confidant. The world was, and is, a better place with Tim’s faith, humor, and guidance. He will be missed greatly by a multitude of acquaintances and co-workers. One of my fondest memories of Tim comes from a laughter-filled afternoon dinner we had at Nachomamas Tex-Mex in St. Louis. My condolences and prayers go out to Jan and Tim’s family.

  9. So sorry for your loss. I grew up with Tim, going to grade school and high school together and he lived just down the street from me, so we spent a lot of time together. Many happy memories. Another great guy that will be truly missed.

  15. Tim was a dear friend and was always in my corner both personally and for work. We worked together at Lyon as contemporaries and then as my leader. He was a devoted Christian and we spoke often about our faith. He had a wonderful sense of humor and we had many laughs together. He loved his family so much and talked about them often. I could always count on Tim for advice and guidance. He will be missed by so many as he made an impact on everyone he met. Such a good man – very sad time for us all who knew him.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this tough time.
    God Bless.

  19. Tim came through Indianapolis last August 2021 and had dinner at the Woodstock Club with Martha and Me. Great fun laughing about the “misadventures” of our decades of working together at Lyon. We will miss Tim, a truly great guy. Our deepest sympathy to Jan.

  21. For most of my 34 years with Lyon, I knew Tim from national sales meetings. For a short period of less than a year late in our careers, he was my manager. I found Tim to be an upbeat, respectful, friendly and moral man. I know he will truly be missed by those who were closest to him in life. My condolences to his family.

  25. Tim was a wonderful friend of everyone at Industrial Shelving. He has touched everybody one’s heart his own special way. We have become good friends through the years. Among many other gifts he shared, he has taught me the love of basketball. We are all better to have Tim in our lives

  27. I was extremely fortunate to work with Tim (Hack) for many years. I never looked at it as work because we always had fun when we were together . It was very clear to me early on when I met Hack that Faith , Family and Friendships were the most important things in his life. I have been with my company 34 years and I can confidently say that I have not come across anyone more passionate and dedicated trying to make the company and themselves be the best they can be. When Hack arrived in town to work with me his first question was always ” How’s your family doing ?” and he would listen closely to my response. After listening to me , Hack would proudly discuss updates on his family which I always loved to hear because you could see in his eyes how important family was to him. I always considered myself a huge sports fan until I met Hack. His only flaw was being a Cubs fan.
Thoughts and Prayers to Jan and Tim’s Family.
