  5. My deepest condolences to my cousins on your loss. Uncle Jack was a kind, gentle man. I know my mom really enjoyed his near daily visits in the late mornings for several years before her passing. I was lucky enough to hear his beautiful tenor voice as he sang in my choir at OLP. I’m sure he’s up there singing with the angels now. May he rest in the arms of God.

  10. My earliest memory of Uncle Jack was a visit to our home on a evening back in the early 1970’s – I must have been somewhere between 3-4 years old, as I was sitting on the kitchen counter, feet plopped in the sink, Dad was helping Mom get all of us little ones “washed up” before bed. There came a knock at the back door and Dad left my side to go see who was there – as he looked through the window of the back door he declared …”Why it’s Captain Jack!” , Dad opened the door to let him in …and there he was – “Captain Jack” and over to the counter/kitchen sink he strode to say “hello” with a wink and a smile before heading down the basement stairs to look at the washer, dryer or something else in need of repair .

I can imagine how grateful my Dad and Mom were to see him walk through the door on the Occasions they called him for help/advice. He ranked right up there with the super hero’s for sure.

My condolences to Uncle Jack’s kids, grandkids and great grandkids – as well as a shout out for ensuring he was well taken care of these last years – your efforts truly a blessing and gift to him.
