He sure loved you both!!! So do the rest of our closely nit family!
We lost a dear sweet man October 23rd 2024. Richard Hoffman Sr passed through our earthly veil and into eternity to join the love of his life, Linda. Richard “Dick” loved good food, goos sport and good fun. He had a devilishly good sense of humor and quick wit. He could also be stubborn when making a point that was not shared by his sons. When his foot started shaking back and forth you knew he was ready for battle.
Dick loved his family and raised his sons to reflect his character with action and deeds. Dick was a kind, loyal, honorable, hardworking, and gentle man. His family feels the empty space he had filled as a deep well with no bottom, wanting just one more day, hour or moment to express the depth of their love and how his life blessed theirs. His three sons feel this loss deeply and will need to lean on the knowledge that their Dad lived a good long life and wanted nothing more than to enter the presence of the Lord and to join his beloved Linda in a place of no pain and no struggle to breathe. Richard will be waiting to see us again and greet us with joy and pride of our lives well lived. We will carry on family traditions and cling to the love of one another to carry us through the piercing pain of loss until we meet again, we love you Dick, rest easy and shine on those left behind so we can feel the warmth of your sweet imprint you branded on our hearts.
So sweet Sarah
Beautiful tribute to Uncle Dick, Sarah. You described him to a T. This is such a great loss but I’m so happy he is no longer in pain and have a broken heart missing Aunt Linda. I know he is loving it in heaven. Until we meet again Uncle Dick.
Our deepest condolences. Dick and Linda both were so wonderful to us. They would give rides for Tom’s doctor’s appointments and just be there for us. We will always remember his kindness as he was such a sweet man. Love and prayers for the family.
He served his country and inspired me to do the same !
Linda and Dick are forever in our hearts. They would come spend the night with my mom, Aunt Cat, about once a year on the way to Florida. Mom went with them sometimes and she loved that. I enjoyed visiting with them and Dick always had a happy face. I would have loved to have seen him pulling their wagon across the sand on those old skis. Love always, Kay and Eddie Ziglar
