In Loving Memory

Hurley, Ronda Lee

Ronda Lee Hurley of Arnold Mo was born on July 28, 1961 to the union of William and Ronda Daphne Hurley. Ronda was born and raised in St. Louis Mo, and was preceded in death by her parents and seven of her siblings: Joyce Hudson, Roger Hurley, Verna Yates, Lela Joette Huntley, Sharon Hurley, Linda Sue Spence, and Stanley Hurley. Her beloved siblings who now cherish her memory are Patsy Simms and Herman Leroy (Sonny.)

Ronda was a dear aunt and cousin to many, and will be remembered for her laughter, love of children, and beautiful smile. She was a proud member of Vital Church in Arnold Mo and truly loved her church family. There, she developed a deeper passion for her relationship with Jesus as well as studying the Bible.

Ronda was a hard worker and spent many years of her life in banking and insurance. She loved chatting on the phone with family and friends, Cardinals baseball, music and concerts, board games, and most recently, Bible trivia.

Ronda had wonderful friendships and a love for the Mexican culture. She was proud to speak fluent Spanish and was able to visit the country of Mexico several times.

In recent months, after multiple health related setbacks, Ronda was ready to be “Home.” She was at peace in her mind and spirit because of Jesus. She passed peacefully on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.

Services: Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Thursday, November 14, 10am.  Interment St. Matthew Cemetery.  Visitation Wednesday 5-7pm.

  1. When I think of Ronda, I think of this scripture…
2 Timonthy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

I will miss my conversations and texts with Ronda. One of my favorite memories is when she was baptized at Vital Church, what a powerful moment that was. Another moment was when we visited her and sang Christmas carols. Ronda will be greatly missed; her laughter, her heart to see others saved, her rolling her eyes at me when I would joke around. She is truly loved.

  3. I was a Spanish teacher for Ronda years ago when she was in High School. We became good friends. Ronda went to Mexico with me, and she met many of my Mexican friends. So many great things we did there. Ronda was even a bridesmaid in Mike’s and my wedding. What a joy!

Ronda was a giver of gifts, thoughts, words and fun. She kept people laughing and that was a nice blessing.

I will miss her, but I feel she will be happy with God forever.
