  3. I’ll remember Uncle Steve always as being the family jokester, a lover of classic cars & dogs (especially the dachshunds), and just being the jack of all trades; he could fix anything. He certainly could tease the heck out of you, but he also had a heart of gold and the best sense of humor. He will be missed.

Thank you for helping me daily with a kind word after the loss of my husband Ronnie. You helped me in so many ways during this time. 5. My husband Lance has several friends named Steve. So my girls and I nicknamed him ” Pizza Steve “. He used to deliver us our pizzas whenever we lived near Holly Hills area in the city. I have seen him several times at our home (MLM, Inc. shop), and of course the muscle car shows. He seemed to be shy around us women (the car guys wives), but was a jokester and terrific friend to say the least. Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to all who were near and dear to Steve.
    God bless,
Lance, Candace, Megan, & Maddy Gmerek

  12. Such an awesome guy and what a wonderful friend to my dad and uncles growing up. The words “friend of the family” gets thrown around alot. Steve was truly part of the Showers family. Humble and warm hearted comes to mind when I think of all the good memories I had as a kid growing up around Steve. Sending all my prayers to his immediate family. Such a sad loss of such a good person.

  18. I am sorry to hear this sad news, I worked with Steve for many years at Beauvais, we kept in touch through the years. He was such a great guy! He repaired and maintained yard equipment for me many times and tried to teach me how to get that stupid weed eater started. He was a great human, we lost a good one. Rest easy my friend!
