Sweet Vernie you were such a special person. I Remember all the fun we had in Bunco. You are now with the angels in heaven. Love you always! Janice.
Ed and LaVerne invited Charlie and I to join Monsignor Meyer’s Family Life Commission a couple of months after we moved into our house in Magdalen Parish. It allowed us to meet many fine parishioners who welcomed us. She was always kind and a positive, energetic leader. She is surely with Jesus.
I’ll never forget how kind and generous Mrs. Kammer was to my mother, Carolyn Regan. She was my mom’s best friend and the spiritual center of their “bunko” friend group. She was also a huge part of my life growing up at St. Mary Magdalen. A truly wonderful woman who touched many lives.
Lavern was an amazing woman who let nothing slow her down. She was always there to help her family ,friends, and neighbors. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet her and hear of her from her sister, Marilyn Webber. Toni Kuhlman
Marilyn, I’m very sorry to have heard of your sister’s passing. May peace fill you during this time of mourning and loss.
My mom (and all the Watkins/Hagen family) loved LaVerne dearly. Not only were my mom and LaVerne cousins, but best friends and members of the McKinley Angels. LaVerne had a great sense of humor and kept us all laughing. My mom is so sad. We will miss her so much. She is surely an Angel now!
Later in life, Mrs. Kamner would occasionally attend Mass at St. Wenceslaus. I enjoyed seeing her and visiting afterwards.
She was a nice lady. Our condolences to the Kammer Family.
