  1. Mr. Maleas… Nothing but the fondest of memories. Those memories started 50 years ago as he and my parents were best of friends. Although losing my father 40 years ago, my dad always came alive in my conversations with Mr. Maleas. You were a loyal friend and a very generous man. The first time you saw my son 15 years ago and every time after, you would sneak money in his hand just to see him smile. You will be missed. I can see your smile right now as you say hello to Eddie Raush (as he would call him).

  3. I didn’t know Mr. Maleas personally but Frieda and I did a lot of baking together at St. Nicholas for the Festival and other baking needs. We had a very close relationship during our baking days. We laughed, we sang and ate wonderful lunches together. And Frieda was a big part of our “Baking Ladies.”

Frieda was always checking on Tom making sure he was alright while she was helping at church He was very proud of what Frieda was doing at church.

My prayers and pleasant thoughts, and friendship go out to Frieda at this time of grief.
