  1. From as far as I can remember, you were always in my life.
Such sweet memories of crawling up on your lap. I can still smell the sweet tobacco you would fill your pipe with.
You always giving me wonderful advice in the fewest words. Your face would say so much.
Thank you for being like a second father to me and loving me like I was your own.
I will forever miss you 😔

  3. Thank you, Carl for always being a steadfast and beloved friend to my grandparents, Elaine and Ruben Torrez, and the entire Torrez family. So many fond memories made with you and Gerry at our houses on Lawn Place growing up. Carl was always quick with a goofy joke to make us kids smile. He’ll be dearly missed by all of us.

  5. Precious memories, how they linger. Carl always had a way to make us laugh. He always had that dry wit that is unexpected when you were in his company. I’ll always remember the murder mystery party we had at the ranch. He just didn’t get the whole concept of pretending to be someone else other than himself. Also trivia night, lots of laughs. May the Lord bless you and comfort you as you walk through this valley Gerry, Nick, and Steve. Rest in peace Carl. We love you

  6. Carl Dean you’ve been present in my life as long as I can remember. I have always enjoyed listening as you would share your many great stories with your friends and family. Your army stories in particular had a positive impact on my journey and contributed to me becoming an Officer in the Army. When we were kids you gave us your old Army dress coat, but much to my chagrin, it fit Troy, me not so much. You were larger than life, a gentle giant with a deep booming voice. Rest in peace old warrior.

  7. Sitting here reminiscing about all the wonderful conversations had while sitting with you and my dad, talking about how things were growing up back in the day, your experiences in the Army and how you both met the love of your lives. Playing little pranks on the kids, telling jokes and cracking each other up. You were a constant in all our lives and we are better for having you in them. I’m sure my dad will be waiting for you anxious to catch up. You will be missed but will live on in our memories.
