Reinbold

In Loving Memory

Reinbold, Robert “Bob” G.

Robert “Bob” G. Reinbold Baptized in the Hope of Christ Resurrection Friday, September 6, 2024. Beloved husband of Julie Reinbold (nee: Trapp) for 36 years; beloved dad of Lauren (Josh) Kistner, Alex (Olivia) Reinbold and Justin Reinbold; loving “Ampa” of Kennedy Kistner; dearest son of Robert E. and the late Joanne Reinbold; dear brother of  Joseph (Angelyn) Reinbold, Mary (the late Robert) Tate, Susan (Jeffrey) Fair and Kathryn (Perry) Branche; dear brother-in-law of Carl (Jackie) Trapp, Donna (Chuck) Cobillas, uncle, cousin and friend.

Earlier this year, Bob retired from Ameren after 34 years as a Web Developer.  He spent his time with family and working on cars.  Bob and Julie met at the University of Illinois and were the love of each others lives.  They liked going to concerts together and taking evening drives in the Jeep with the top down.  He and Lauren enjoyed going to new coffee shops together.  Bob and Alex spent many hours perfecting their smoking and grilling skills.  He got great joy being with Justin working on his cars.  He loved taking his granddaughter Kennedy to different parks in the area and was on a quest to visit them all.  During his lifetime, he enjoyed Boy Scouts with his sons, was able to go with both boys to Philmont, coaching his kids sports teams, and going on family bike rides.  If you asked anyone he would be described as selfless, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand.  If you called him he would be there and will be missed by all.

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry Road) Friday, September 13, 9:00 AM until prayer 11:00 AM to Queen of all Saints for 12:00 PM Mass concludes at church.

  2. Our Sincerest Condolences go out to the Reinbold Family on the Passing of Bob. My Son Stephen was in Scouts with Alex & Justin. I attended Many Campouts with the Boys & Bob over the years of Scouting. Bob was always first to lend a helping hand with whatever needed to be done. He was a Merit Badge Counselor who would take the time to work with all the Scouts for them to achieve the Badges they needed to get to Eagle Scout. He was an Eagle Scout Reviewer to ensure the Scout had everything in Order before going before the Council for their final Eagle review. I Personally enjoyed his company and our talks and laughter around the campfire or around the grill! Bob was a dear friend and will be missed by so many. May He Rest in Peace.

  3. Bob taught me a great deal about my position at the company and I am in the processes of taking on some of his old responsibilities. Despite only meeting him in person a few times, I could see he was a warm and friendly person. I remember speaking with him prior to his retirement and hearing about what he was going to do, it’s all the more saddening to see his passing with that in mind. There is no doubt will be missed by many, myself included.

He loved talking about Kennedy , Proud Grandpa. He will be missed by me and everyone who knew this kind, gentle man. Prayers to Julie and family, my heart aches for you all.

  6. We knew Bob from the Boy Scouts and attended many events together. A kind, gentle man, always a smile. He was very inspirational in helping the boys, and as an adult leader was great to work with and a joy to have around. Always a positive attitude. He will be missed
