Beloved wife for 49 years of John “Jack” Schurk; loving mother of Rebecca, Anna and John “Jack”, Jr. Schurk; dear sister-in-law, aunt, teacher and friend.

Services: Visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Valley Park) , Tuesday June 27, 9:30 AM until funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to Second Chance Ranch STL Pet Rescue or Circle of Concern appreciated. A service of KUTIS AFFTON Chapel.

  3. Augie was a wonderful person. Funny, fun-loving, smart, witty, kind. A terrific teacher. So sorry for her family that they didn’t have her longer. I so enjoyed the years I taught with her at Sacred Heart and was honored to be her friend. She will be greatly missed.

    My heart and prayers are with all of you. I had the privilege of working with Augie at Sacred Heart. She lit up the hallways with her smile and laughter. I loved teaching with her. For a while we worked out together. She sure knew how to make it fun. She will certainly be missed.

    I’m happy to have met Augie – beloved mom of dear friends Anna and Rebecca. She had the kind of smile that sparkled from her eyes and a vivacious personality that filled a room when she was there.   9. Augie always brought the fun to family parties. Her bright smile lit up the room and she had a way of telling a story that kept us all laughing. She had a great mind and heart. It’s hard to believe she’s gone from us. but we will carry on with the assurance that her life has only changed, not ended. May she rest in peace.

  12. We will miss Aunt Augie greatly and have a hard time believing that we won’t see her again at our family gatherings. It was always a treat to see her. Our prayers go out to Uncle Jack, Becky, Anna, and Jack.

  13. Mrs. Schurk was my very favorite teacher at St.Michael’s many years ago. I thought of her often and she was one of the reasons I decided to go into teaching. I was so sad to hear of her unexpected passing. I will never forget her kind smile and how encouraging and compassionate she was with her students. Her memory will live on and she will never be forgotten.
