  2. My sincere condolences to Connie and Emil,

I knew OJ well in our youth. One of my last “adventures” on the Straher Farm was a last-minute effort to collect hay from the Kneff farm field. In our haste, we didn’t lace the bales well, so OJ and I laid ourselves across the top of the stack to hold them. It didn’t work and we both fell off the wagon along with half the wagon load. We came back in Chuck Kneff’s truck to get these last bales before the rain started to fall. Again, OJ and I were in the back with the hay as the cab was full. Chuck hit the brakes too hard when we got to the barn and for the second time, OJ and I took a tumble. This time over the top of Chuck’s truck. Neither of us were hurt, and laughed as was the way with OJ as he was always a very good-natured person. May he rest in peace.

  3. Connie, Emil & the Entire Straher Family:

I’m so sorry to hear of O.J.’s passing.
I haven’t seen any of you in years, but have many fond memories of your family. One being, O.J.’s laugh which was literally one of a kind. When he laughed, you couldn’t help by laugh yourself. It was absolutely contagious.
May the memories shared over the coming days bring you all peace and comfort.
    With Deepest Sympathy,
