In Loving Memory

Whitby, Michael L.

Passed away July 20th at home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 65. Born and raised in St. Louis, he was a family man and rockin’ musician. He was a hard worker, retiring from LMC Industries. He always put family first. He cherished the time he got to spend with them, especially his grandchildren. All who met him knew he was down for a great time. Never one to sit idle, he loved adventures and spending time at the lake. You could always find him manning the grill at any barbecue. Last, he loved music and playing the drums. He enjoyed jamming and singing for everyone.

Beloved husband of Pat Whitby (nee Zoellner) for 27 years. Dearest father of Angela Williams, Matt Whitby (fiancé Natasha Kratohvil), Rachel (Kyle) Ward, Jason (Angie) Hart and Jessica (Jamie) Tomaino. Loving grandfather of Evan, Karleigh, Tyler, Boyer, Violet, Levi, Ryder, Presley and the late Brookelyn. Our dear brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Save the Music Foundation appreciated.

SERVICES: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road on Monday, July 25, 4PM until funeral ceremony at 7PM.

  1. There comes a time in this world for all things to wind down. Alas this be not the end of one’s journey. But the beginning of another. So long Mike Whitby give your Mom and Dad and my Mom a great big hug. Tell them we will be seeing them all. In due time. You will be greatly missed dear cousin. Rest In Peace

  3. So sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Our prayers are with you, Pat, and all the family. I wish I had had the opportunity to “jam” with Mike but I guess I’ll have to wait until I see him again, as I do believe in the resurrection. God bless you!

  9. To Mike’s family..my sincere sympathy for your loss. I was in elementary school and high school with Mike. Although I didn’t know him as an adult, he was always a nice classmate when we were young.
