  3. Many great times as a kid on road trips from Connecticut to St. Louis to see dads (Joseph Comparato) side of the family. Alan had such a great sense of witty humor and it was always funny to see the teasing between Alan, Joe, Jan, Bob, Donna, etc. generally with dad trying to be serious and Alan joking around. Alan was a great, intelligent uncle, it was great seeing everyone at dad’s house a few years back. Much love to everyone Donna, Aaron, Nathan, Jason miss you and sorry for your loss

  4. I remember Alan, my cousin, as one of the sweetest men I have ever known, reminding me of my lovely Aunt Dot and Uncle Joe many times. I was blessed to have worked with Alan in my young years. I know our Lord has him close to Him and in a better place now. Lynn (Comparato) Hill

  6. Alan was my brother-in law. I loved him and he will be greatly missed. A story about Alan: Back in the early 90s, Alan and Donna came down to visit one weekend. We went next door to my wife’s parents for dinner. They had just built a beautiful in ground pool. We were sitting around visiting and my father in law was working on building the deck for the pool. Alan asked if he could help, but Terry (my father in law) didn’t want to ask that of someone on vacation. Alan insisted and his eyes lit up. He seemed happiest when he was working on something. He got on his hands and knees and helped, happily. He was that kind of guy. He loved helping others.
