Wicker, Carol Lee (nee Barrett) passed away on September 27, 2024.
Beloved wife of the late Charles C. Wicker (Chop-Chop the Barber) and the late Edward (The Bread Man) Gerwitz; dear daughter of the late Walter and Helen Barrett; dearest mother of Christine (Frank) Rericha and the late Susan Fussner and step-mother of Michael Gerwitz, Richard (Pam and the late Terri Ann) Gerwitz and Theresa (Mike) Cavanagh; cherised grandmother of James (Katie), Jennifer, Shawn, Chad (Cassandra), Matthew and Hannah and great-grandmother of Tobias, Elliot, Gideon, Franklynn, Tate, Lawson, Michael, Johnathan and Emily; dear sister of the late Patricia Simmons and Betty (Rick) Peroni; our dear aunt, cousin and friend to all.
Carol was a retired checker from Schnucks. Her goal was to meet one new person every single day and to be outrageous and boudacious. She sure had a good time and hopes people are still talking about her 10 years from now. Her favorite last words were always… “Ta-Da” or “Toodles”.
A very special thanks is extended to her dear friends of 50 plus years including Joe and Judy Biello and Grace Wieman.
Services: Cremation rites are to be accorded. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or Sokol Childrens Camp, 4690 Lansdowne Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63116, American Parkinsons Disease Association, 16100 Chesterfield Parkway W, Chesterfield, MO 63017, appreciated.

So sorry for the families loss of the wonderful woman Carol was. I have not seen her in years but remember her smile and welcoming personality. May her memories be with you forever.
Carol was a dear friend and will surely be missed! I still remember her pulling the red Radio Flyer wagon with two adorable little girls, into the beauty salon and ask for someone to fix her hair! That was the beginning of a lasting friendship of almost 60 yrs. She was like part of our family as each of my children will tell you. We shared so many joys and sad times together ( especially when her daughter Susan passed). I can only imagine her and Wendy (another dear friend who very recently passed) and Carol sharing old times ,making everyone laugh or maybe blush! We love you Carol, Joe & Judy ❣️
Carol was a dear friend of mine also. We met every few weeks at Judy’s house. I always admired Carol because she would tell you exactly how she felt about a situation. Carol would not sugar coat anything! Carol had a heart of gold and would do anything for people in need. I will miss her smile and her opinions about life. Till we meet again. Teddy❤️
