Dee, I believe we met years ago when I played softball with Eric on a team with a bunch of other Baden Boys. I met Eric after high school and the junior corner boys accepted me into their group though I was from Pine Lawn and not their neck of north city and county. We partied a ton and got into a bit of trouble with those guys at “the house”. Eric, Mike Siebels and I all joined the Air Force at the same time in 1971, though on a buddy plan, we actually each went to basic training separated by two weeks. I went in first, followed two weeks later by Eric, and then two weeks later by Mike. We were all there though at the same time for a short while before going our separate ways for job training. I had only seen Eric once or twice at funerals since softball. I am happy though to have seen him in January at a Baden Boys reunion lunch. He looked good and was happy to be there and to see and be seen. I remember they called Eric “Foot” for his big ones. He’s one I’ll always remember. A good old friend to have had. So sorry for your loss.

Denise and Lauren,
We, the Scott family, are cousins of Eric and Kurt. Eric’s father was our mother’s brother. When we were young, we saw each other on all the holidays and on visits to Grandpa Wierschem’s farm on Memorial day. Over the years, we saw each other very seldom. This year Eric did, however, come to our Saturday-after-Christmas gathering at my sister Kathleen’s house. That will be a fond memory. We liked Eric very much.
