  1. I am so very sad to hear of Wayne’s passing. I had the joy of working with him for many years at Busch. He always told me how wonderful it was that I had a big family, and how proud of that I should be. We shared our Catholic faith by attending Mass together at the stadium. God Bless you, my friend.

  2. Wayne you were one in a million. You always treated Denny and I so well at the stadium. You were the one who interviewed me and hired me. At the end of my interview I felt like I had been talking with a friend. We so enjoyed our dinners at Hodaks with you and Rene every summer and always wished you had visited us in Texas in the winter. Rest in peace our sweet friend. I’m sure you and Jack have a lot to catch up on.

  4. So sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing to the family. Had the pleasure of working for Wayne and Jack Stretch in the 70’s at the stadium. Those were fun times. Still think about the usher picnic we had one year at Springdale pool. It was a great time!
    Rest in peace….

  7. Deepest sympathy to the Zeugin family. Wayne worked with my Dad at the Railroad office. I worked with Wayne at the Symphony and a few games at the Stadium. I am remembering all of the captains . Wayne, Jack Stretch, Waldo Evans, Bob Witte and Vince. What a reunion they are having together right now. RIP Wayne.

  8. Wayne was a very influential person in my life, and just a joy to know–although I was kinda scared of him when I started out with the Cardinals at 18 years old! But I dearly loved him and was proud to call him my friend. He was so proud of his family and was crazy about them all. I will always hold great memories of Jack and Wayne.
