In Loving Memory

Callen, Angela M.

April 30, 1978 - April 18, 2025

Angela Marie Callen passed away on April 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving parents, sister, husband, and son.

Angela was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Eric Decker; her son, Aiden; and her stepdaughters, Jenna and AJ. She also leaves behind her father, John, and stepmother, Mary Ann; her parents-in-law Jerry and Vickie Decker, and her siblings Michele, Danielle, Kristen, Mark, Isaac, Dominique, Fran, and Jon. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy, and stepfather, Mark.

Angela was born on April 30, 1978. Her proudest and greatest joy in life was becoming a mother to Aiden. She and Eric had just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.

Angela had a deep love for animals and was rarely without several in her care—often the ones no one else wanted. She gave them comfort, a sense of belonging, and, somehow, seemed to speak their language.

She was brilliant, uniquely witty, and deeply clever. Angela had a dry, sharp sense of humor and an inherited no-nonsense streak that could cut through chaos when needed. While she preferred being cozy at home, she also loved spontaneous family adventures, picnics, short trips with Eric, and time near the water or in the mountains.

Because of the efforts of an extraordinary team of nurses and doctors at St. Luke’s and Barnes-Jewish Hospital–who went to superhuman lengths to keep her alive and comfortable– and the strength Angela found within herself, her family was able to share a few more precious weeks with her.

Angela was beautiful, kind, generous, compassionate, stubborn, funny, and fiercely loyal. To say she will be missed is a vast understatement—her absence will be felt deeply and daily by everyone who loved her.
