Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Schlittler; devoted mother of Ginny (Ellis) Ameiss, Katie (David) Sarniguet, Joan (Ken “Mac”) McKelvey, and William J. (Cheryl) Schlittler; adoring grandmother of Melinda Ameiss, Ehren (Crystal Gloden) Ameiss, Christine Sarniguet, Aimee Koogler, Andrew (Angie) Sarniguet, Claire (Shawn) McManus, Brian (Rachel) McKelvey, Jason McKelvey, Matt (Laura) Schlittler, and Erin (Adam) Bentson; cherished great grandmother of Madison Gloden, Eli Ameiss, Mikayla Miskovic, Caitlyn Miskovic, Grace Koogler, Madison Chappuis, Tyler Chappuis,  Lillian Sarniguet, Finley Sarniguet, Johnathen Collette, Dylan Collette, McKenzie McKelvey, Sabine Schlittler, Ari Schlittler, and Elise Bentson; dearest daughter of the late Sylvester and Grace Appelbaum (nee Eckerle); loving sister of William “Bill” Joan Appelbaum and John “Jack” (Carol) Appelbaum; our dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend.

SERVICES: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Wednesday, April 30th from 8:00 – 9:15 AM, to St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church (11011 Mueller Rd., 63123) for Mass at 9:45 AM. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  1. Ginny, Melinda, & all those who loved dearest “Grandma,” I’m so very sorry to learn of the passing of this sweet & amazing woman. I’m very grateful you all had so many years packed with beautiful memories of her, her kindness, generosity, humor & zest for life. I pray that we all have the opportunity to live such a wonderful, full life. May she rest in peace in heaven. Sending hugs & my deepest sympathies to you all.
