Diane Jean Kimball (née Poloch), 75, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on August 14, 2026.
Diane was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, to John and Bertha Poloch. She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen Kimball, with whom she shared many years of marriage and raised their two sons. As a devoted Air Force wife for 20 years, Diane supported her husband throughout his military career, and their life together gave her the opportunity to live in and experience different places around the world.
Diane is survived by her sons, Daniel (Anna) Kimball of Belleville, Illinois, and Mark (Melissa) Kimball of Papillion, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Callie, Jillian, Ainsley, Dominic, and Samuel; and her sisters, Elaine (John) Gregory, Janet (Gregory) Kraigher, and Jane (Edward) Bonawitz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Kimball, and her parents, John and Bertha Poloch.
Diane enjoyed living abroad, gardening, and spending time with friends. She especially enjoyed being a grandmother and the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Diane was a lifelong Catholic, and her faith was an important part of her life. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother and for the life she shared with her family and friends.
Her family will miss her and cherish the memories they shared with her.
Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Wednesday, August 26th from 5:00-7:00PM. Funeral Mass at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (Maryville, IL) on Thursday, August 27th at 11AM. Interment JB National Cemetery.
