Rieken, Dorothy E. (nee Kessler) Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Beloved wife of Joseph C. Rieken; dear mother of Kathleen (Gary) Bolhofner, Joseph (Sue), John (Michelle) and Mary “Kim”  Rieken and Patricia (Curt) Cecena; dear grandmother of Erik (Carrie), Janet (Ian), Anne (Kyle), Neil (Kelly), Elizabeth, Madison, Ryan (Danielle), Jonathan (Da Hye), Rachel, Kady, Christiian,  Andrew, Rebecka, and the late Abby; dear great-grandmother of Sabrina, Isabella, Samantha,  Jackson and Walter; dear sister of the late Jeanette (Wayne) Ortmann and Raymond (Survived by Jackie) Kessler; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Services: Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Fri., Apr. 28, 11:15 a.m. to Holy Family Catholic Church, Cahokia, IL for 12:00 Noon Mass. Interment JB National Cemetery. Dorothy ran the Children’s Program at Cahokia Public Library and had a love of teaching, story telling, reading and art. Visitation Thursday, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
