In Loving Memory

Ashton, Pauline Elizabeth

age 64, died on December 24th, 2018 of ovarian cancer. Beloved wife of Robert Ashton, loving mother of Gavin (St. Louis) and Victoria (Harrow, England) and grandmother of Benjamin.  She is also survived by her brother Stephen Pritchard of Caerphilly, Wales.  Born in Edinburgh,  Scotland, Pauline moved to  England in 1970 and, in 1976, qualified as a Registered Nurse from the Sheffield School of Nursing.  She lived in seven  different towns in England and Wales before moving with her family to San Diego, CA in 1993 and then to St. Louis in 1995.  She lived in Creve Coeur until 2003 and then moved to Tower Grove Heights.  She was proud to become an American citizen in March 2002. Apart from family, Pauline’s passion was  gardening.  She was a volunteer at Litzsinger Ecology Center for many years and was active in several gardening groups,  including the Webster Grove Herb Society.  In addition, she also participated in local theater with a number of smaller  professional companies as stage manager and set builder and painter.

The family would like to thank all the staff of the BJC  Gynecologic Oncology Department and BJC Hospice for their  excellent care over the last 3 years.

Services: Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 on Friday, January 4th and a memorial ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5th at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois.
