Dwyer, Angela Theresa

Angela Theresa Dwyer, 92, passed away on April 14, 2022 from leukemia. Angie is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Dwyer (1993), her son John V. Dwyer (2006), her brothers Jasper (1998) and Angelo “Frank” Laury (2016), and her sisters Mary Quinn (2006) and Mary Ann Burgess (2011).  Angela is survived by her son James M. (Pat) Dwyer and their children, Ashley Hagan (Jason) and Tony Dwyer, Denise Dwyer, Larry Dwyer (Maurice Carrillo), Maureen Gender and her children Jamie and Peter, Julie Dwyer (Duke Michalak) and John’s daughters, Elizabeth and Lauren Dwyer.

Angie was very active at Our Lady of Providence Church.  She was a member of the Adult and Resurrection Choirs, the Marthas, Quilting and 50+ Clubs, and she was a lay reader. Angie was a volunteer at St. Anthony’s Medical Center for many years.  She acted as the “altar boy” for masses said at her senior living center.  Ang was an avid Cardinals fan often listening to a late night game on her transistor radio.  She is deeply missed.

Angie made an anatomical donation to Washington University.  Visitation is Monday, May 2 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Providence Church, 8866 Pardee Road, St. Louis, MO 63123. A memorial mass will follow immediately at 1:30 p.m.
