Dahlia was called home on September 1, 2023 to dwell in gods kingdom.

Age 91, dear daughter, of Pasquale and Drusolina (Rapini) Contestabile; beloved wife of Melvin O. Ide and the late James R. Ide III; dear mother of Carol (Kenneth) Kline, James Ide IV, Peggy (David) Beach, Ed (Carla) Ide, Steve (Penney) Ide, and Diane Ide. Dear sister of the late Edmond and Clarence Contestabile. Beloved aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Dahlias life was spent where loving kindness, prayers and support was needed. She was the matriarch and the glue that led her to step forward in assistance to all family and friends as well in her welcome role of loving caregiver during final moments of loved ones lives. Ever present was her love, strength and encouragement.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Friday September 8, 11a.m. until service 12:30 p.m. Concludes at funeral home.
