August 13, 1950 - October 1, 2023

73, of Caseyville, IL and formerly of Granite City, IL passed away on October 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 13, 1950 in Mt. Vernon, IL, a son of the late Duane Badgett and Mona “Eileene” Badgett.

He retired in 2015 from Amsted Rail after many years. His greatest joy was spending time with his two daughters. He enjoyed taking vacations and shopping. He also loved to feed the squirrels on his front porch.

Jerry is survived by and will be greatly missed by his daughters; Lisa Halwachs and husband John of Caseyville, IL, Meagan Favier of Caseyville, IL; son, David Badgett and wife Jennifer of Collinsville, IL; Brothers, Scott Badgett and wife Tana of Maryville, IL, Jeff Badgett and wife Barb of Granite City, IL, Bradley Badgett and wife Kimberly of Granite City, IL; former wife and mother of his children, Donna Favier of Mitchell, IL; four granddaughters and several nieces. In addition to his beloved parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Badgett and a niece, Sheri Swope.

Per his request, Jerry will be cremated. No memorial service is planned at this time.
