Bud Skaggs

In Loving Memory

Skaggs, Andy “Bud” Clyde, Jr.

January 29, 1954 - March 22, 2025

Andy “Bud” Clyde Skaggs, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on March 22, 2025. Beloved husband of Faye Skaggs (nee Warren) of 38 years, Dear Father of Jeremy (Wren Moore) Skaggs, Jennifer (Brandon) Soileau, Melissa (Steven) Mann, Kendra (Scotty) Goldman, Joshua (Michelle) Skaggs and Thomas Michael. Dear Papa to Chelsea (Jesse) Wall, Alyssa Washburn, Katelyn Mann, Gavin Mann, Bryson Mann, Harper Skaggs, Brantley Goldman, Dominic Goldman and Colt Skaggs. Dear Pops to Magnolia, Tucker and Hadleigh Wall. Dear Son of the late Elenora (nee Schneedle) and Andy Clyde Skaggs Sr. Dear Brother of Bonnie (Kenneth) Warren and Carol (Gary) Pritchett. Dear Uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Bud was a retired facilities worker and school bus driver at Valley Park School District for 40 years. While working at Valley Park, he took pride in his daily tasks and truly loved every child and staff member as if they were his own family. During his retirement, he enjoyed waiting on his loving wife hand and foot, spending time with his family, watching his grandkids play sports and teaching them to fish. He had a true love for the outdoors, whether it was walking in the woods, sitting at the lake, hunting and feeding his “critters”.  The community often referred to Bud as “Pops”, knowing him as the grandpa of everyone, who never said no to lending a helping hand. He will be deeply missed

  9. So many memories the Skaggs & Pool family have shared throughout the years. Our late nights playing cards, family BBQ’, sswimming parties, spending the night with each other and sharing our families together. We had so much fun going to Lost Valley, Branson and many other adventures together. We have laughed together and cried together. We watched our children grow up and have shared their life moments. Birthdays, graduations, weddings and when we All became grandparents. We were “Partners” forever! I know every year Bud & Bob always looked forward to going hunting together down at Pops and Sharon’s. They never did get that 30 point buck. Lol When Josh and Billy were old enough, the boys were able to tag along on their hunting adventures. The excitement and smiles the boys would all have would melt your heart. Bud was a great example of a man that took pride at being a dad and a grandpa. He would be there for his kids and for every special moment. Watching them play baseball, basketball, awards, homecoming, proms, graduations, etc. The greatest gift his kids gave him was his beautiful grandkids! He has been an exemplary PaPa. He wanted to be a part of every special moment that he could. He was blessed to become a Great grandpa. Bud loved All of his grandkids. The one thing that I do know is the Love he had for his wife Faye! They were united together by God and shared a Blessed life together. When Bud said, “I Love You” He meant it from the depths of his heart. Bud never met a stranger and did not have a mean bone in his body. Our Partner will truly be missed! Love you Brother!
