Words cannot express my deepest sympathies, nor comfort you during times of sadness…but I hope that you know I am holding you and your family in my most sincere prayers. You are a wonderful reflection of the amazing man your Father was. Knowing you, learning from you, sharing with you and laughing with you is really a treasured gift from your parents and God which you have made so perfect. Healing prayers and my thoughts are with you…

Gene worked for Channel 2 and I worked for Channel 5. Both of us devoted 40 years plus to TV in St. Louis. We had so much in common talking about our times at work and the people we met.
Rest in peace Gene

My dear coworker, and even dearer friend . Sharing a cup cake in celebration of our birthdays together over the years at KTVI , was a high point each winter.
It saddens me greatly this loss .
May you Rest In Peace and rise in glory.
Deepest sympathies to the family .

Gene was a gentleman, in all the ways that word connotes. His quiet manner and ready smile of greeting revealed his concern for others. His examples of gentleness, kindness, and thoughtfulness are lessons for the world. I knew him to be a faithful person, carrying through with what he promised. I remember visiting Gene and Ann when she was very ill, suffering through the cancer which took her life. Gene was also a concerned grandfather sharing the significant events of a grandchild’s life. He loved his family.
Thank you to the family who shared him with others because we were all enriched in that sharing. I count myself blessed to have been a pastor at St. Lucas UCC while Gene was there.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. I remember visiting him and Betty in Carthage many years ago Probably in 1947.
