In Loving Memory

Casaleggi, Mark Charles

September 7, 1959 - November 1, 2025

Mark Charles Casaleggi, born in 1959, finished his earthly work on November 1, 2025, and is now wholly at peace and home with Jesus. Mark was born in NJ and grew up riding the waves at Jersey Shore beaches with his siblings (Carol Underriner, Laura Clark, Paul Casaleggi, and Lois Casaleggi-Diamond), before moving to Mt. Carmel, IL for his teenage years. He attended SIUE and worked in construction before switching to pest management where he and his wife, Sue, worked together for the remainder of his years. He treasured family, valued respect and responsibility, and enjoyed good food and good music.

Mark loved Jesus with his whole heart, mind, and strength and he served others with generosity, excellence, and humility. Mark is survived by his wife (Sue Casaleggi, nee Potthast), his daughters (Maria Casaleggi and Anna Casaleggi), and his beloved grandchildren (Kaydin and Kaleb). Visitation will be held at SouthGate Church (9820 East Watson Rd. St. Louis, MO 63126) on Friday, November 7th from 4-8pm. On Saturday, November 8th, SouthGate will open at 9am with a service to honor his life beginning at 10am. He hopes you all continue his legacy of love  – do good.

  2. Met and knew Mark from his relationship with Kutis Funeral Homes. Later enlisted Mark to do the exterminating at my home. At both he possessed a warm smile, a gift for conversation, and a professional work ethic. Blessing to his family and friends and know that he will be missed.

  3. Oh man. He was such a peach. First time he came to our Lustron house in Marlborough he said he’d driven by for years. Was such a pleasure to have him in as he knew about Lustrons and after his excitement about the house my husband brought a mamas pride album out to show him as we started talking about music. I am leaving town on Friday and hate I have to miss his send off. Rest in peace Mark…you are already missed
