Gagel

In Loving Memory

Gagel, Marianne

July 30, 1941 - December 13, 2025

Asleep in Jesus on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Marianne Gagel was an animal lover, faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bible scholar and talented artist in oil, having studied with Dhimitri Zonia. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Washington University and worked as a lab technician with Mallinckrodt Chemical Works and Ralston Purina. Mari loved the outdoors and in the early sixties she rafted through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River with famed rafter Georgie White. Mari was the beloved daughter of Albert and Regina Gagel, sister of Albert and Linda Hamburg (Gary), aunt of Jeffrey Hamburg (Bonnie) Dr. Anne Hamburg, and Kate Rose (Gary). Great Aunt of Zachary Hamburg (Jackieann), Sebastian and Winston Rose. She will be missed my numerous cousins, friends and staff at the Magnolia Wellness Center.

A Memorial Service will be at Kutis Funeral chapel, 10151Gravois Road on Friday, December 26 at 4:00pm. Inurnment at Hillcrest Abby Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions to Hope Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

  1. My deepest sympathy
I was hairstylist for Marianne for years before I relocated to Wisconsin. We had so many great talks that I enjoyed so much. She was just a beautiful person. Always had a smile.
    Yours in Christ,
