  1. Your mom was the kindest person I ever knew. When she would stay with Nancy I was always trying my luck to get her on the 4 wheeler for a ride. She was always such a good sport and with hesitation she always trusted me for a nice ride. Just this summer at 97 she was still riding with me. Memories that I will always hold close to my heart. She will be so missed by so many. Rest in peace Virginia!! I love you…..

  3. Our deepest sympathy to the entire Gassner family. Mrs Gassner was one of the “good ones” for sure. She was a shining example of that greatest generation and all that was good and kind. I remember her being so kind, soft spoken and smiling. When we would visit Nancy’s house when we were in nursing school, I remember that Mrs. Gassner always wanted to make sure we ate something… she would literally take every item out of the refrigerator and offer it to you until you finally took something.
We are all blessed to have known her. May your many many many wonderful memories bring you comfort. RIP Mrs Gassner. I’m sure that she is in heaven with Mr Gassner laughing at his jokes

  4. I’m an extended family member by marriage (Virginia’s sister married my uncle). Although I met her just a handful of times, Virginia always greeted me by name and was warm and gracious toward me. I’ve always appreciated that. May peace and comfort be with her family, now and throughout this holiday season.

  6. Nancy, David, Linda, & Anita – So sorry to hear about your loss, my deepest sympathy to you and your families. Aunt Virginia was always so nice and friendly to me, my brothers, and sister. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of the many great family gatherings we used to have at the Aunts and Uncles’ homes, and she was always a big part of that. I always loved it when all the Aunts would start talking in Polish…..I didn’t understand much, but didn’t need to because the love and happiness shone through. I hope you can take comfort in knowing your Mom is in good hands and will always rest in peace.

    Sincerely,
    Brian Griesemer
