July 30, 1953 - December 17, 2025

Kathryn D. Miller, 72, Affton, Missouri. Kathy passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Kathy is survived by her brother Larry R Miller and wife Linda of Hillsboro, Kansas. Also, by sister, Ellen Elaine Delmez and husband, Brian of Affton, Missouri. Kathy is survived by her niece and nephews, whom she referred to her as her kids. Jason Miller and wife Lacey, Brett Delmez and wife Jessica, Eric Delmez and wife Laura and Janelle Sorrow and husband T.J.

Kathy was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 30, 1953. Kathy graduated from Wichita Heights and went on to Wichita State University where she graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. However, Kathy majored in Special Education and was a Special Education teacher for 45 years. Kathy lived in Attica, Haysville, Derby and finally Wellington, Kansas teaching Special Education. She loved her students and loved teaching.  Kathy’s life was one of service, from teaching special needs children to caring for her mother. She was also a big supporter of the animal shelter in Wellington.

Kathy was proceeded in death by her parents, Raymond and Oma Miller along with her great nephew Barrett Delmez.

SERVICES:  Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) on Monday, December 29, 10:00 a.m. until funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.

  1. I was a kindergarten teacher and worked with Kathy for many years at Eisenhower Elementary in Wellington, ks. She was a kind and caring teacher and dedicated herself to her students, I will cherish my memories of working with her. She was a good friend and a mentor to me. I have missed working with her so much the past few years, She will be missed, thoughts and prayers for her family.
