Betty was born on February 18, 1931 in St. Louis, MO. Her parents, Henry Lands and Lillie Sellnow preceded her in death, as well as her siblings, William (Marion), Herbert and Peggy Shearer. As well as her nieces Janet, Joyce, Linda and Kris and nephews Ricky and Dennis.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Forkan, and Peggy Wilson (Paul) and her grandson, Joshua, her step-daughter, Linda Trampe (Warren) and granddaughter, Maddie.

Betty was widowed from Fred Freund, James Forkan, and Richard Murphy.
She started her career as a stenographer in the St. Louis Courts, then went on to become a paralegal for Clayton law firm, Trust Officer at downtown bank and after retirement, started a career as a real estate agent. Her faith was very important to her as well as the many organizations she belonged to through the years. Betty loved the local theatres and played the lead in many church productions. She loved life, her family and friends, but above all she loved God.
Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Tuesday, March 29 from 3:00 pm. until Memorial Service time at 6:30 pm. Inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will be held in private.
Mrs. Betty was a wonderful person who shared love and joy with everyone. I am thankful to have known and loved her.

I met Betty through our red hat group. We quickly became friends. Our was a friendship that deepened over time. Betty became very special to me. I loved her enthusiasm for life and her sense humor. She didn’t let life’s circumstances stop her. I shall miss my dear friend.
