Dennis M. Peters– very beautifully and peacefully, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Beloved son of the late Harvey and Virginia (nee Gavin). Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marsha Ann Faust; two older brothers, Donald and Jack; son Brian Peters (Accalia); daughters Lisa Marcinkiewicz (Tommy), Laura Davis (Matthew). He was loved, and known to his granddaughters as PaPa to Alexis, Lauren, Kara, Tory, Amelia, and Eleanor. Was a loving brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle and great uncle within the family.
Dennis was born on November 25, 1948, and raised in South St. Louis City. He attended St. Mary’s High School, graduating in 1968. Dennis entered and served in the US Army thereafter. Dennis’s primary occupation of over 50 years was that of a Finish Carpenter, happily serving as a Union Carpenter for Local 1739. Dennis was known as Boo, Den, Vern, Denny, crazy Uncle Denny, Dennis the Menace, and Pops, and was friend to many, often seen as “the life of the party”. He stood ready with a quick-witted joke with some sarcasm sprinkled in! He is now having one heck of a “Hap- Hap- Happy Party” in the pearly gates upstairs, with many! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mercy- St. Louis de Greeff Hospice House, 10024 Kennerly Road, St. Louis MO 63128.
Services: One Hour visitation will take place prior to Mass at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque front lobby, 4900 Ringer Road, St. Louis MO 63129, on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 9:30am-10:30am. Followed immediately by Mass starting at 10:30am in the church. Immediate private family ceremony will proceed to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in South St. Louis County where he will be laid to rest with Military Honors.
He gave, and then some.
Much love Pops up there!
To a man that never gave up! My Hero! Until me meet again!
Great man. Always a great time!!! He will be missed.
Thanks being there!
Some of my favorite memories in high school years with Lisa included visiting the Peters family at Lake of the Woods. Dennis was always goofy and cheerful. Im thinking of you all in this difficult time.
Thanks much Julie!
I have so many happy memories of Dennis. He was one of a kind, always there to help in any way. Know he is celebrating and having a great time. You will be greatly missed by all. RIP Dennis.

Thanks Fam! Grants Farm late summer!
We would meet with Denny & Marsha when they would vacation in Florida on Ft. Myers Beach. They would either come to our house in Cape Coral or we would meet them at the beach. Each time Denny and I would sit together and sip a few bourbon drinks and tell stores like two old boys will do. Such great memories. Rest in peace my friend. Marsha we are sending you, and all the family all our prayers.
Kisses & Huggs! Cant wait SWFL!

Denny was always fun to be around. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. I think back on the years that we coached the Seven Holy Founders softball team that our daughters played on. Those were fun times. Denny always kept things loose and fun. When the girls would get a little wound up, Denny would always get them back in order with a loud “ON THE BENCH”! That would become our catch phrase each time we saw each other. Love to Marsha and the Peters family. You are in our prayers.
Appreciate you all being there today- luv and grace!
Sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Hey Lil’ Brian. Big Brian here…much love!
To Marsha,
I have fond memories of Denny and you visiting Dick and me in Colorado over the years!
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Marsha, Brian, Lisa, Laura, & Families,
Sending prayerful condolences to all of you!
Denny always welcomed anyone with a big smile like the one in his memorial picture.
I know he was a master carpenter. I am thinking he is up there in heaven looking at those pearly gates saying—“I could redo those in a really nice wood!” 😘
Sounds like he was the ultimate
“Girl Grandpa “ having six granddaughters to dote on.
May Denny’s soul rest in pease and perpetual light shine upon him.
Stunning. Much Love.
