Sidorov, Vladimir

In Loving Memory

Sidorov, Vladimir G.

February 27, 1994 - January 20, 2026

Vladimir Gennadyevich Sidorov, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at his bedside in Ballwin, Missouri. Born on February 27, 1994, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the beloved son of Gennadiy and Nadezhda Sidorov.

Vladimir attended Marquette High School, where he built a strong foundation that would shape his academic and professional path. He graduated in 2017 from the University of Missouri–St. Louis/Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Driven by a passion for learning and growth, Vladimir was actively pursuing his master’s degree in engineering while also working toward his Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Vladimir began his career at Boeing, where he worked for nine years. His contributions ranged from constructing the Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter to advancing the development of Boeing’s autonomous drones. His work was not just a profession but a passion, and he took immense pride in his role, often working long hours with ease. Among the highlights of his career was the unforgettable opportunity to visit a Navy aircraft carrier, one of the largest warships ever built.

Raised in a Christian household, Vladimir’s faith became a guiding force in his life. On November 3, 2013, he joined his brother and sister in publicly affirming his commitment to follow Jesus Christ. His devotion to the Lord shaped his character and the way he lived, bringing warmth, kindness, and joy to those around him.

Outside of his professional and spiritual life, Vladimir found happiness in many pursuits. He enjoyed golfing, building LEGO sets, playing board games and video games, riding his motorcycle, grilling a variety of meats, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his loving heart, his kindness, his warm smile, his playful personality, and the love he gave so freely.

Vladimir is survived by his parents, Gennadiy and Nadezhda; his brothers, Roman and Alex; his sister, Natalia; and his eleven nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.

Family, friends, and all whose lives Vladimir touched are invited to gather at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton Chapel, located at 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63123. Visitation will be held on February 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with funeral services on February 7 at 9:00 a.m.

  2. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Vlad for the last couple of years as we’ve been working toward building, testing, and flying the MQ-25 here at Boeing. Professionally speaking, Vlad was a very good Engineer and the go-to person during the build of this aircraft. Personally, he was a fun personality, easy to get along with, kind, and always an ally to get the job done right. We need more people like Vlad in this world. He will be greatly missed.

  4. The news of Vlad’s death has hit me very hard. He was one of my best friends and one of the few people I still talked to and saw from Marquette High School. Vlad was one of the nicest, funniest, and smartest people I’ve ever met. He seemed to be able to talk to anybody and win them over with his smile and charm. I will never forget the countless memories we shared together and good times we had. There will forever be a hole in my heart now that I’ve lost such an amazing friend. I love you brother and hope to see you and give you another hug again some day. Rip Vladimir

  5. For the past 7 years we have thoroughly enjoyed having Vlad on our engineering team. Time after time he would take on the toughest assignments. If something needed to be done, Vlad was the one who could work it. I admired his desire to get involved hands-on when he changed roles for a time to be on the factory floor, which made him an even better engineer. Vlad’s attention to detail and accurate analysis of complex data made him a key player. But his kind smile, personal demeanor, and ability to get along with and find common ground with anyone is what made him the best team player. He certainly shared the Light of Christ in his words and actions. I know he loved his family and cherished his cultural roots. Death is hard, a part of God’s plan for us here on earth, but is not the end. I heard recently, “not everything happens for a reason, but God can help find reason out of everything that happens.” May you find peace in God and trust His care and timing. May the memories of happy days with Vlad support and lift you up until you all meet again in Heaven, surrounded by God’s Grace. “Death has been swallowed up in victory…thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:54-56).

  6. Vlad was conscientious and passionate in his job, always good to work with and making a positive impact on those around him. He is missed and I’m so sad at his loss. That he won’t be here to see his hard work take flight, as well as to experience all the special milestones that were in his bright future, is tragic.

  7. It was my honor to know Vlad in this life. He wasn’t just a co-worker, but was family. He was always the first to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share a laugh when the days got long. Vlad was someone we trusted, someone we depended on, someone who made work feel more human. His kindness and his humor — those things will be missed every day. Thank you for your dedication, your laughter, and the countless ways—big and small—you made a difference. I won’t say goodbye my friend, for you and I will meet again.

  8. Vlad was a great teammate and friend. Always quick witted with a sly sense of humor. He worked veryhard and was eager to learn everything, but he also had a way to keep work in perspective and looked at everything in his unique and humorous ways. We enjoyed talking about, and eating, great food together many times. He was a dependable friend as I started a new position far from home not knowing many people in the area. He stayed in touch after I moved back to Seattle and I was looking forward to great things from him in his future. I will miss him greatly.

  12. Condolences to the Sidorov family and all friends of Vlad. Vlad was one of my first leaders I worked with on the Boeing MQ program, and was always a ray of shining light whenever we came around his department for our morning meetings. Vlad had stepped out of the comfort of engineering to be an Ops front line leaders, something that was reflective of his understanding of the build, his incredible leadership, and ability to work through the tribulations of a start-up program. Always a smile on this face, and quick to offer assistance where ever he could. His belief in Christ guided the way he lived and engaged others. He was an amazing teammate, leader and friend. Until we meet again Vlad, God Speed!!

  14. Please accept my deepest condolences on Vlad’s passing. Vlad was a very kind, sincere, and easy going person. An offhand question would often turn into a long phone call, because he was so approachable and friendly. Vlad was always willing to offer help and advice, never because he had to, but because he wanted to, being the generous and thoughtful person he was. Vlad was instrumental in my career at Boeing and was an example to me both professionally and personally. He was a hard-worker and dedicated individual. He had many goals and plans and it is just heartbreaking that his journey ended so soon.
