Strotheide, David Bradley

David Bradley Strotheide, 60, of St. Louis, MO passed away Friday, September 9th, 2022 at his home. David was born February, 7th, 1962 in Breese, IL to William and Carol Strotheide. David is survived by his partner- Larry Voyles, father- William Strotheide of Carlyle, IL, brother- Kenny and sister-in-law Maggie Strotheide of Schaumberg, IL, brother- Jeff and sister-in-law Chris Strotheide of Jerseyville, IL, sister- Angie Strotheide and partner Steve Mall of Carlyle, IL, brother- Craig and sister-in-law Kathy Strotheide of Beckemeyer, IL, as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother- Carol Strotheide, mother-in-law Shirley Martie, and his grandparents.

David attended Central Highschool in Breese, IL. He graduated from college with a degree in computer sciences. David worked for many years in the hospitality industry. Prior to retirement, he worked at Home Depot for six years. David enjoyed gardening and took pride in beautifying his home’s landscape. He gave much of his time loving on his dogs over the years (Truman, Penny, Willie, and Dudley). David loved 80’s rock music, especially Elton John and David Bowie. There isn’t an Anne Rice novel he hasn’t read. David loved movies, especially the horror genre, and conspiracy theories.

A memorial service and visitation for David will be held on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 from 4pm to 9pm with Service at 6:30 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home (10151 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63123). Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 at 1pm at Sunset Cemetery in DuQuoin, IL.
