In Loving Memory

Uhlinger, Robert J. Jr.

Of Arnold, Missouri passed away on April 18, 2022, surrounded by family and friends at 84 years of age.  He was born May 25, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robert J Sr and Esther C (nee Lichtenberg). Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Libby Uhlinger (nee Sumner), his son Robert J Uhlinger III (Carin), his daughter Shelly Uhlinger Lee, his two granddaughters Brittany N Uhlinger, and Madison E Lee, his grandson Brandon A McAfee, his two great-granddaughters Kyleigh D Lesmeister, and Grace O Waterhouse; siblings Jan Gangloff (late husband Joe), Judith Becker, Jacqueline Waggoner and Richard J Uhlinger (Cindy).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly, numerous cousins and many many friends. Bob proudly served in the United States Army and is a Korean Veteran.  He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.  Bob was a charter member of the Meramec Arnold Elks, and a member of the American Legion 624 Sunrise Beach, Missouri.  Also he was a life time member of VFW post 2593 of Arnold, Missouri.  Bob retired from Chrysler as a skilled trades supervisor in February of 2001, and has remained loyal to the product ever since. Bob loved to fish and enjoyed boating at Lake of the Ozarks.  His greatest love was his family and especially spending time with his two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

Services; Visitation is at Kutis South County Chapel, on April 22, 2022 from 4-8pm.  Service is at Kutis South County Chapel, on April 23, 2022 at 9am, followed by 10am Mass at Immaculate Conception in Arnold, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Heart Association.

  15. Bob walked at the rec center with my husband Larry Main many times. We are both retired from Chrysler. Your Bob was such a fine gentleman who was always smiling. May God grant you peace and comfort in the coming days. My Larry passed away in 2017 .
