Vancil, Laura K.

Laura Vancil, 64 passed away on March 29th, 2023.  Beloved wife of Lee Vancil; dearest mother of Nathan (Emily) and Brendan; cherished grandmother of Nora; dear daughter of Edna and sister to Mike (Debbie).

Laura was someone who spent her life investing in others.  She was devoted to her family and was a constant presence in the life of her husband and children. She was an avid reader. She loved baking, cooking, and enjoyed attending cooking classes.  In 2022, she gladly accepted the role of Grandma and spent that time loving her granddaughter.  She dearly loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and enjoyed spending time in his Word.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 6, at Canaan Baptist Church 5409 Baumgartner Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Siteman Cancer Center’s “Discovery Fund”, MSC 1247-414-2100, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105 or online at https://siteman.wustl.edu/tribute   Please indicate the gift is in memory of “Laura Vancil” by writing a memo on your check.
