Angelika “Angie” D. Bartlett
April 7, 1947 – October 16, 2025
Angelika “Angie” D. Bartlett, 78, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 16, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital. Born on April 7, 1947, in Achim, Kreis Verden, Germany, Angie eventually made St. Louis her lifelong home.
Anyone who knew Angie knew she was a straightforward, no-nonsense woman who spoke her mind and told it like it was. She could be tough, even stubborn, but she had a huge heart for helping
others—especially animals. Her involvement in St. Louis animal rescue was a big part of her life, and she never turned away from a creature in need. Angie loved the color pink, a good laugh, and being “Nana Angie” to many, both within and beyond her own family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Chad Darren Bartlett. She is survived by her daughter Erin Forister and husband Eric; grandsons Owen and Miles; her son David Bartlett and wife Nicky, and their children Dylan, Jessica (Seth) Veit, and Macy (Jake) Klebba; and her great-grandchildren Emmett, Ella, Hadley, and Millie Jean. Angie was also the proud legal guardian and adoptive mother of Jason White, who held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind many close friends who were more like family to her as well.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 2906 Gravois Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63118. A luncheon will follow at a location to be announced later.
Angie lived life her own way—bold, outspoken, and full of grit. She’ll be remembered for her sharp wit, fierce independence, and heart for the underdog, both human and animal.
